Fire Doors form one of the most important aspects of your buildings fire safety and without doubt save lives and property. Unfortunately fire doors are quite often one of the most forgotten pieces of fire safety equipment that get inspected. This can be very dangerous as fire doors form part of the buildings various fire compartments and any failure can be catastrophic leading to fire spread when it could be contained.
It is a statutory requirement that fire doors are maintained properly and recorded in accordance with the RRO. To achieve this, fire door inspections should be regularly carried out by a competent person. Fire doors should be inspected as a minimum every six months or three months when there are areas of high usage.
Our fire door inspections report the condition of every door in detail and the report shows any deficiencies which require remedial works to ensure your doors comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Once our fire door assessment is complete we issue you a comprehensive report per fire door which identifies any issues. We can where possible repair your fire doors which could include replacing faulty fire door closers, Intumescent strip, Smoke seal, Fire door hinges, Fire door signage or anything else fire door related. Sometimes a fire door simply requires an adjustment to pass it can be that simple.
We also inspect your final fire exit doors to ensure that they open correctly and the push bars or push pads operate correctly. Final fire exit doors are extremely important as they are the last door out of the building so must be able to operate at all times.
Should your fire doors require replacing we can also do this using our network of professional installers who are third party accredited. All of our new fire doors are supplied with certification documents upon completion.

We have carried out fire door inspections in all types of buildings including schools, colleges, offices, warehouses, manufacturing plants to our latest fire door survey project which we inspected over 1,000 fire doors at London Luton Airport.
Please note that we will not supply free of charge quotations for fire door remedial works based on other companies fire door survey reports. This is due to the amount of very poor fire door surveys we have encountered and the time it takes to produce quotations from surveys other than our own.
